Abstract

The karst regions of the Dominican Republic contain many caves that are richly decorated with both petroglyphs and pictograms, presumed to have been created by the Taíno, or earlier populations, prior to the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 1492 CE. This paper is an initial attempt to objectively describe three newly discovered rock art sites within one cave system.
