Abstract

The current paper offers a preliminary analysis of Andean petroglyphs depicting biomorphsthat apparently are playing a wind instrument. Interestingly, such images comprise both anthropomorphsand zoomorphs. Moreover, other biomorphs appear to be depicted in a typical playing posture withoutactually showing a wind instrument, thus possibly introducing the concept of the non-visual in Andeanrock art.
